Stream-Delay Latency Guard

Esports broadcasts run 30 to 120 seconds behind the actual server state, and traders using the stream are effectively trading the past. If you are quoting or trading live esports markets without a direct data feed, you are the slow one, and you will be systematically picked off by anyone who is not. This strategy is the defensive discipline: measure your delay continuously, and either close the gap with an official feed or stop quoting during live play.

What you need to run it

  • Continuous measurement of your own information delay versus the official match feed
  • Automatic quote withdrawal whenever your latency exceeds the safe threshold
  • Direct API access as the alternative to sitting out live windows entirely

Where this applies

Markets on Polymarket where stream-delay latency guard is the natural play:

  • Will Cloud9 win their current match? (quoting live)
  • Will this Valorant map go to overtime?
  • Will the next Dota 2 game end before 40 minutes?
