Confirmation Vote-Math Model

Cabinet and judicial confirmations are a counting exercise inside a known chamber composition, with a handful of reliably independent votes who decide close cases. Their history on prior nominees is public and predictive. You model the chamber, weight the swing members by their record, and factor in the possibility of withdrawal — which is how many contested nominations actually end, and which some markets resolve differently from a failed vote.

  • Committee schedule tracking, since nominations die in committee more often than on the floor
  • Explicit handling of withdrawal versus rejection in each market's resolution rules
