Dispute-Bond Asymmetry Positioning

When a UMA proposed answer looks wrong, the payoff to disputing it (you win the proposer's bond plus your correct market side) can exceed the bond you put at risk. Pre-position in the market for the post-dispute correction and, when your evidence is strong, actually post the dispute bond to force a re-vote. The edge is that almost no one plays the disputer role, so a well-researched dispute combined with a pre-built book position is underexploited.

What you need to run it

  • UMA OO proposal monitor + ancillary-data resolver
  • Bond economics model (bond size vs market payoff vs win-prob)
  • Capital + UMA tokens to post dispute bonds
  • Evidence-gathering workflow for the dispute itself

Where this applies

Markets on Polymarket where dispute-bond asymmetry positioning is the natural play:

  • Will Israel and Hamas sign a ceasefire by December 31, 2026?
  • Will the named candidate win the next Brazilian presidential runoff?
  • Will the Supreme Court rule on the named tariff case before December 31, 2026?
